It was great to see them and remember what it was like to have horses in a very different way (a private home where I trail rode to the local barn to ride). Things have changed in that area so much, but I still remember it all so vividly.

This rock was at the bottom of this trail, so every time the horses passed it, they knew we were about to pick up the canter so they got excited about it

When I was 17, I snuck onto this person's property and jumped that fence with Larkin

This is the lower pasture of my childhood barn with a beautiful view of the bay

The upper pasture, the fence is breaking but that's okay because there's no horses here anymore

I cantered up this hill a LOT

There's a large circle trail at the top of this, kind of the size of a round pen, I used to canter there a ton too
I'm totally excited to haul up here and take TC on these trails. I already know where I want to go, I just need everything to dry out first!

These are just so damn beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to have spent time in. I can see why you feel nostalgic for them.
