2016 Q2 Review and Q3 Goals

I can't believe it's half way through the year already! Where does the time go? Alright, time to look back at our Q2 goals and look forward into Q3!

Ranch pictures from the spring when everything was green!
2016 Q2 Goals (Apr/May/June)

TC
- get a good update in April at what is hopefully our LAST ULTRASOUND for a while
Not our last ultrasound, but we got a great update! Had our LAST ultrasound on June 28th.

- continue to do well in rehab
Did quite well! Started trotting and is up to 15 minutes right now.

- no more injuries/re-injuries
So far so good!

- continue to visit as much as I can while he's there
Yes! I even got to see him swim and walk on the eurociser a couple of times, I'm so glad I got to do that.

- (if home) don't buck me off, if I don't fall off in June I'll buy myself something pretty (like lessons)
Not home yet :(

- (if home) ride 4+ times per week and have BRH trainer ride if I can't make it
Not home yet :(

- (if home) take one lesson a week at least
Not home yet :(

- (if home) regain amazing connection that I've been dying to feel for six months
Not home yet :(

- (if home) work on channeling energy in positive ways, learn to ride the hot horse
Not home yet :(

 My Riding
- continue to ride Rico regularly until TC comes back, and maybe even continue if/after TC comes back
Yep! I didn't ride him too much in April, but I rode him a ton in May and the beginning of June

- continue riding for trainer friend when possible
Yep! I rode a lot for her in April. Now I'm riding a LOT more because of stepping briefly back into my horse trainer job.

- continue teaching more, this will be hard once TC comes back
This got a lot better in May and June when I had more time!

- (if TC home) stay confident and in the back seat
Not home yet :(

- work on the unevenness in my seat, leg, and hand
Definitely worked really hard on this

- audit a lot of Tracey lessons
April 16th was the only one I made it to, I tried to go to two more but had to teach my own students!

- audit more clinics
Tracey April 16th was the only one I made it to- same reason as above

Msc
-(if TC home)  survive the commute to the barn, just three more months of living an hour away once as these goals are up
Not home yet :( but life circumstances brought me closer to the barn!

- run a 5k (22 more days!)
YES I survived, though the "run" part was questionable

- continue running (sign up for another 5k?) or find another way to exercise
YES I joined a gym and have been going 5x per week.

- continue working to fix my wrist
NOPE this is on hold again

- make progress on thesis
YES!

The ranch is so pretty

My Riding
- continue riding Rico as often as possible
- audit as many clinics as I can, tons of people come into the barn

Msc
- keep going to the gym regularly
- make more progress on my thesis
- get a job :) teaching is fun and doing good things for my bank account but I miss data and air conditioned offices and health insurance
