2022 Q2 Goal Review and Q3 Goals

Another quarter done, I can't believe we are halfway through 2022! This quarter was so great in so many ways, I got my saddle, TC did really well, I did well in my new job, and I spent a ton of time with my niece. But it was also (SO) busy and stressful at times too.

He's the best

Look at this nose
2022 Q2 Goals

TC
- stay sane and sound
Yep!

- be consistently schooling all of First level again
We are doing pretty much everything from First at the moment

- continue working on the collection in trot and canter
Yep!

- trail ride a lot
Not as much as I would have hoped but I was also gone a lot this quarter

- maybe go to working equitation camp
Nope, but we did go to a ranch competition and win it!

- break in the new saddle!!
Yes and I love it!

Ranch competition!

Such a good boy

Sunny
- stay sane and sound
Yep!

- successfully swap over to the bitless bridle
Yep!

- maybe start jumping or even just pole work again
He started free jumping and we've been trotting over poles

- maybe go to working equitation camp
No, didn't work out this year, but we did do Mounted Archery!

- get my niece to ride him by herself
She did!!

- maybe get my mom back on him??
Not yet, hopefully this summer? Who knows

It was so much fun!

Such a good pony

Jumping
- feel confident over 2'3-2'6 courses with fill
Yep!

- be consistently landing on the correct lead over fences
Well, not really, but that's okay

- be successful at the horse show! I'll define what success means later
Yes!!

- continue working on my foot light/jumping position in general
Definitely getting better

- continue working on balance without rigidity
This is still challenging but I'm working on it, my last lesson especially made me feel way better in this department

Such a talented fish!

It was such a fun show

My Riding
- fix my right hip
It got better and then got worse again, but I am working on using my back brace less because I think that contributes to the dysfunction

- fix my left hand (lol or just make progress with it)
It's a little better, I worked on it for a while and then stopped, oh well

- continue working on my breathing
I have been doing pretty well with this!

- continue to build my core strength
Yeah I need to really focus on that this quarter

This guy has been doing pretty well lately!

Msc
- continue with copilot (or another gym solution)
I kind of fell off the wagon with that, traveling a lot made that tough, but hopefully this quarter!

- fix my right hip
Again I was doing so well with my PT exercises until I went on like, back to back vacations

- get an injury looked at, back or wrist (my job has a fabulous PT I might work with)
Yep! My wrist got looked at

- have fun in Kentucky!!
I did!!

- ... don't spend too much money in Kentucky
I didn't! I came in shockingly under budget

- feel more settled at work
Absolutely, I am almost 5 months in and am already conducting trainings for new hires, my manager says I am fully onboarded and performing above my level (unfortunately I am not eligible for a promotion any time soon, but it's good to know).

Kentucky was so amazing!!
