Silver Elite FSA

I was going through my blog looking for links one day when I came across the Long Term Goals sidebar thing I'd added a long time ago. It has my medals and some old stuff that I no longer care about (I don't think I'm a freestyle kind of person, maybe if I had the money to pay someone to do all the work for me).

But then, I saw something I got really excited about! I had completely forgotten that the Friesian Sporthorse Society allows me to change TC's registration/status/etc according to his achievements. When he got scores at Training Level in July 2017, he became a Bronze Elite Friesian Sporthorse. He needed to either get a 65% or more at Training Level Test 2 or a 62% or more at First Level Test 2. He actually did both, but the first score we got at Training Level Test 2 was on July 26th, 2017 and it was a 71.9%. Cool! 

For the Silver Elite Friesian Sporthorse status, he needed a 62% or more at Third Level (any test) or a 60% or more at Fourth Level. I remember at the time it seemed like it would be SO FAR AWAY, and it was! 

But this year, one of the few good things about the year, we DID show at Third level. And we scored way above a 62%, we earned scores from 67% to 70%. So I'm excited to send in the paperwork to upgrade TC's status to a Silver Elite Friesian Sporthorse. 

Next on the list is getting him to be a Gold Elite Friesian Sporthorse of course. That's also going to take a while (maybe another three years? I mean hopefully, but let's say four or five). For this, he needs to score at 60% or higher at Intermediare (I guess I-1 is fine?) or 58% or more at Grand Prix. I have high hopes that he'll do both of those in his lifetime, but we'll focus on the I-1 goal first.

I love that the Friesian Sporthorse Association allows you to do this kind of thing with your gelding. TC is obviously not breedable but I hope he gives the sport a good name. My barn owner the other day actually said she didn't like a lot of friesian crosses but that she really liked TC. I also really like TC! 

I'll be putting in the paperwork as soon as I get everything organized at the new house (we moved on Friday and so everything in our lives is a disaster). I'm excited!
