WW: Best Frands

I really want TC to be okay in turnout, but that suspensory is still nagging at me. On the one hand, he has a big space to live in and doesn't get hurt in there, what's a few more square feet and a different view? Also, do I really want to live in fear the rest of my time with him over an injury that now happened three years ago? On the other hand, do I really want to risk his soundness if he's fine where he's at?

I compromised by being a completely overbearing parent type and put him in the tiniest turnout with his halter on and with me sitting inside watching him like a hawk.

The minute he was in there, a friend came trotting up to him. He doesn't get to play as much as he'd like (because he'd play ALL THE TIME) so it was fun to see him interact with another horse like that. They were SO CUTE together. I grabbed some video -

I think I'll be doing supervised turnout sessions on the weekends when I can. I think he's fine if he just plays around, but I do want to make sure that I'm there just in case he really panics and starts galloping. We have rain starting today so I think he'll be in for a few weeks at least. But it was so fun seeing him play a bit!
